Suggest that
 you could add me to your list
  as i would come
   if you wanted me
  would date you
   if you asked
  might love you
   if we tried.

It's impossible to know in advance
  sure
   but i think
    this is so.

Of course, fate being fickle and life being simple
  --not--
   inclusion on your list means
    automatic disqualification
   for no one's interested in
    those they have.
  it's a gamble.

If I were not on the list
  if I were instead on the
   'I'd snag him iffen i could'
     list
  then my disclosure would
   close the circle
    ring the gap
     pull in the weeds of
      instant happiness
  mutual happiness.

But were this not the case,
 then my future mystery
  is blown at once.
